In the Wałbrzych Woodlands, about 25 kilometres west of Krzyżowa, lies Szczawno-Zdrój, one of Poland‘s most beautiful spas. Its mineral springs have attracted many thousand spa guests every year since the beginning of the 18th century. The spa promenade invites you for a relaxing walk.

The Spa Theatre (Teatr Zdrojowy im. Henryka Wieniawskiego), an austere neoclassical building, captivates by its theatre hall, designed in 19th century aesthetics, one of the most magnificent of its kind to be found in the whole of Poland. Elements of the Baroque, the Rococo and the Regency style blend together into a harmonious whole.
