Peace Church Świdnica
Świdnica, a lower Silesian district town, is located about eight km to the west of Krzyżowa. It includes a number of notable and precious sacral and industrial building monuments. Świdnica’s market square (Rynek) with its town hall in the centre is a charming small-town version of the grander Rynek in Wrocław. Świdnica survived World War II mostly intact. Visitors can admire its beautifully preserved cityscape.
Venue: Church of Peace
Built in 1656, the Church of Peace is one of the largest half-timber churches in Europe and has been recognised as a UNESCO world heritage site. It dazzles with its splendid baroque interior and has, despite its large size, an intimate atmosphere and good acoustics.
