 Paulina Schmid

 Deputy General Manager

„It is truly a profound honor for me to have the opportunity to play a role in shaping the Krzyżowa-Music Festival. This holds a special place in my heart, not only due to the festival's unique setting, steeped in rich history, and its outstanding lineup of international musicians but, above all, because of the strong belief I hold that my efforts contribute to fostering robust German-Polish and European relations, which I hold dear.“

Paulina Schmid has been associated with the Krzyżowa-Music Festival since its early years. She has been developing her intercultural competence, which she uses on a daily basis, since she was born living in the border town of Słubice, and going to school and obtaining her high school diploma at the European Gymnasium in Frankfurt (Oder). From an early age, she was involved in various international projects, trained in language learning and devoted a lot of time to various types of art. She received a double Bachelor of Arts degree from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), where she also received a Master of Arts degree and professional competence in "Cultural Management and Cultural Tourism." During her studies she participated in the Erasmus program at the University of Valencia, an experience that broadened her horizons and deepened her appreciation for global perspectives. In the meantime, she worked on various events in Berlin, did charity work for the largest foundation in Poland to underscore her dedication to making a meaningful impact on her community and, as a music school graduate, gave concerts with its choir on many international stages.

Today, Paulina Schmid stands as the Deputy General Manager and Representative in Poland of the Krzyżowa-Music Festival. During the summer festival weeks, she manages the festival office, leads the festival team and takes care of the organization. During the rest of the year she prepares the next edition of the festival, represents the festival at international music and cultural events, and takes care of contacts with promoters, sponsors, partner companies and supporters of the festival. Currently Paulina lives in Berlin, but regularly visits Wrocław and Lower Silesia.
